Berks School Districts Health Trust and St. Luke’s University Health Network to Open Second Dedicated Health Center

Berks School Districts Health Trust, in partnership with St. Luke’s University Health Network, will open the second dedicated health center for Trust members on January 3, 2023.

Berks School Districts Health Center – Exeter, conveniently located at 4970 Demoss Road, Suite 102, Reading, eliminates the cost for primary care services while providing the same high-quality care members receive at the Wyomissing dedicated health center. Personalized, comprehensive health care for members and their families includes preventive care, treatment of acute and chronic health conditions, minor procedures, immunizations, physical examinations, and school and sport physicals.

“Since Berks School Districts Health Center – Wyomissing opened in July, we continue to receive positive feedback from our members,” says Paul Eaken, Ed.D., Executive Director of the Berks County School District Health Trust. Members appreciate the personalized care provided by Tyler Stansbury, MD, Alex Talarico, CRNP and the entire care team, the convenience of having routine bloodwork completed on site and the clean, modern office space.

Like the Wyomissing location, the care team at the Exeter Center includes a physician, nurse practitioner, clinical pharmacist, care manager and behavioral health specialist. Consistent with Wyomissing, all services performed at the Health Center have no costs to members.

An Open House will be held Wednesday, December 28, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. when members can tour the facility and meet the care team. Light refreshments will be available. “I encourage our members – especially those who have not utilized the dedicated Health Center services yet – to tour the Exeter location, meet the providers and ask questions,” says Dr. Eaken. “I am confident you will be as impressed with the facility as you will be with the people.”

Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s is located in the same building as the Berks School Districts Health Center – Exeter. Dr. Stansbury underscores the value of easy access to therapy, explaining “Although physical therapy services require a co-pay, the convenience of having those services available at our location is a real benefit for Trust members.”
